Baja, today we seriously fight

Start in the afternoon from Spilimbergo and superspecial stage in Rauscedo. Then everybody at the Rauscedo Cellar for the Happy Hour Baja -. After one year the Italian Baja finally comes back. It’s a special appointment for all who are fond of off roads. A three days international kermesse mixing dialects and languages and making the Fair happening a joyful sarabanda. Sporting and technical checks will end this morning, then in the afternoon there will be the competition’s official start, which for cars is valid for the Fia International Cup for Cross Country Bajas, the Italian Championship, The Fif Trophy and the Suzuki Challenge (totally 59 cars). The competitions hosts for the first time so many bikes (21) and quads (37), taking part both of the European and Italian championship and the Sprint Baja. PROGRAMM. The start for the 6,58 km cars’ special stage “Rauscedo” will take place at 5:00 p.m. and will give the first official classification. All racers will be then guests of the Rauscedo Cellar for the “Happy Hour Baja”, with delivery of doc wine bottles as a special gift. At 7:00 p.m. the entrance into the Parc Fermé at the Pordenone Fair.

Tomorrow the first stage will repeat for three times the track of 65,86 km intitled to Edi Orioli: start from Zoppola at 8:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.. Back into the Parc Fermé at 6:30 p.m. The second and last stage will take place on Sunday, with other two laps for the cars in the opposite direction and the track called “French Pierre Lartigue”, in the honour of the Italian Baja winner recordman  (1994,1995,1996,1997), when he ran with the Citroen Zx Official Rally Raid. The final line will be in Spilimbergo at 4:00 p.m., everybody lined up in Piazza Garibaldi Square with prize giving on the stage. FAVOURITES. Announced duel between Boris Gadasin and the Polish Krzysztof Holowczyc (both of them with Nissan Pick-up), who already hardly fighted at the Baja in St. Pietroburgo. The favourite pilot among bikes is Chaleco Lopez from Chile (with Aprilia), 3rd at the Dakar 2010, but Nicola Dutto (with Suzuki) already won last year. Among the quad the favourite is the Czech Josef Machacek (with Yamaha).
